It is with deep sorrow that we received the news of two consecutive truck accidents in Derik district of Mardin. We wish Allah’s mercy upon the 19 people who lost their lives and a speedy recovery to the injured.

Following this tragic news that has left our country in mourning, a member of a political party claimed that the vehicles that caused the accident belonged to Cengiz Holding. Please be it known that the vehicles in question bear no relation to Cengiz Holding.

The vehicles involved in the accident were trucks that our customer had arranged for the transfer of products purchased from our fertilizer factory in Mardin. Both the shipper and all shipping arrangements were made under the sole responsibility of the buyer. Hence, the two vehicles do not belong to us, and the responsibility to maintain the vehicles rested with the parties involved in this process.

We would like to express once again our sorrow at the traffic accidents that occurred today, first in Gaziantep and then in Mardin. We extend our condolences to the families of those who lost their lives and wish a speedy recovery to those who were injured.
