WITH RENEWABLE RESOURCES FOR A SUSTAINABLE FUTURE
Founded in 2000, Cengiz Enerji has a total installed capacity of 5,622 MW, of which 5,162 MW is located in Türkiye.
Contributing to energy supply security through sustainable production, Cengiz Enerji also undertakes the construction of solar power plants that supply renewable energy to Eti Alüminyum and Eti Bakır. Focusing on renewable energy investments over the past decade, the company commissioned Türkiye’s first—and Europe’s largest—hybrid power plant, consisting of hydroelectric and solar power generation, in Bingöl.
Generating 5% of Türkiye’s electricity from renewable energy sources on its own, Cengiz Enerji is the largest private sector producer in hydroelectric power with a total installed capacity of 2,265 MW. The company began commissioning solar power plants (SPPs) in 2017 and wind power plants (WPPs) as of 2021, reaching a total renewable installed capacity of 3,171 MW.
Cengiz Enerji operates a thermal power plant in Karabiga and a natural gas combined cycle power plant in Samsun. Internationally, it owns two natural gas combined cycle power plants in Tashkent and Sirdaryo, Uzbekistan, with a total installed capacity of 460 MW.
Operating in electricity generation, distribution, sales, and natural gas distribution, Cengiz Enerji’s subsidiaries include CK Enerji, Cenal Elektrik, Alpha Enerji, Cenergo, Samgaz, and Selçukgaz. Through its distribution companies BEDAŞ, ÇEDAŞ, and AEDAŞ, the company serves more than 9 million subscribers across three regions, while providing natural gas distribution services to 330,000 subscribers through Samgaz and Selçukgaz.
