OVER 40 YEARS OF EXPERIENCE
1980
- This day marks the inception of Cengiz İnşaat which has accomplished projects of high significance both in Türkiye and around the world with a giant equipment pool. The company has been on the “Top 250 International Contractors” list for years now.
1991
- Construction of the Hopa-Kemalpaşa-Sarp coastal road, completely following the coastline in the most difficult part of the Black Sea region, started.
1995
- Alanya Marina, one of Cengiz İnşaat's major investments, was completed in 2003.
1997
- Taksim - 4. Levent Metro, the first metro of Istanbul, was completed by Cengiz İnşaat in 2000.
1997
- The Black Sea Coastal Highway Project, one of Türkiye's largest investments at the time, was put into practice. Çayeli-Ardeşen-Hopa Section was completed in 2010.
2000
- Cengiz Enerji, the constructor of Türkiye's first and Europe's largest hybrid power plant, was founded and made major contributions to energy supply security with renewable resources.
2003
- Cengiz İnşaat's first overseas project, the Azerbaijan Vayxir Dam & Hydroelectric Power Plant and irrigation canals, was completed in 2005.
2004
- Eti Bakır, which meets 20% of Türkiye's copper demand and has become one of the most important raw material producers in the industry, was acquired from the Privatization Administration.
2005
- Eti Alüminyum, whose R&D and technology investments have reduced foreign dependency, especially in strategic sectors, joined Cengiz Holding.
2006
- Construction of Bulgaria's Ljulin Motorway, Cengiz Construction's first step into Europe, started.
2009
- Cengiz Enerji, which currently distributes 30% of Türkiye's electricity in three regions, started its first electricity distribution activities with MEDAŞ.
2011
- Construction of Ordu-Giresun Airport, Türkiye's first airport built on the sea, started.
2012
- Aiming to improve social opportunities in every region where it has a presence, Cengiz Holding established the Şaban Cengiz Foundation to manage its efforts in this particular field from a single center.
2018
- Mazıdağı Metal Recovery and Integrated Fertilizer Plant, which is one of its kind in the world to recover minerals such as cobalt, nickel, and iron from residual products and produce fertilizer, started operations with an investment of 1.2 billion dollars.
2019
- Istanbul Airport, Türkiye's largest single-point private sector investment, was completed and put into service.
2023
- In the 100th anniversary of the Republic of Türkiye, Cengiz Holding continues to work, produce, and strengthen the Turkish economy with its giant family of 43,000 people.
